Roosevelt School hosted a Kindness for Christopher assembly

Roosevelt School hosted a Kindness for Christopher assembly for students in grades 4-6. On April 21st, the D’Amico Family shared their story of Christopher’s life and legacy of kindness in the wake of his tragic passing in June of 2015.  Mr. D’Amico shared stories with the children about how being kind to others can cause a ripple effect around the world.  On the 24th of each month, children and adults are encouraged to do something kind for others.  This movement in memory of Christopher’s kind heart will help make the world a better place.

Mrs. Alessandra’s 5th grade students began their movement in January.  The bulletin board in the school’s front hallway displays some of their kind acts.  The entire school community was moved by the story of Christopher D’Amico and his family. One small act of kindness can bring a smile to someone’s face!
